BPC-157 is one of the most intensively researched peptides in preclinical science. In rat studies it demonstrated a remarkable ability to restore severed tendons and ligaments — healing time reduced by up to 50 % vs. controls. Further animal models documented accelerated wound healing in skin, muscle and bone. In rats with gastric ulcers, lesions healed significantly faster after BPC-157 administration, indicating a strong cytoprotective effect on the gastrointestinal tract. Researchers also observed pronounced angiogenesis — the formation of new blood vessels — in damaged tissue, explaining the faster supply and regeneration.
